The art of being free

About the Artist and Artwork

My creative process is rooted in my passion for sustainability and using art as a means to inspire change. Using digital tools such as Adobe and Blender3D, I bring these ideas to life through stunning imagery and thought-provoking concepts. But my creative process doesn’t stop there.

My art reflects my personal values and experiences, as well as my passion for sustainability. I draw inspiration from nature, emotions, and imagination to create works that evoke a sense of calm and positivity. What makes my art unique is the personal touch that I infuse into each piece.
My works are often characterized by vibrant colors, dreamlike compositions, and surreal elements that transport the viewer into another world.
Overall, my art is a reflection of my personal values and creative vision. I hope that my works can bring joy and inspiration to those who experience them.

Original Digital Paintings / NFTs

The difference between my original digital paintings and NFTs lies in their nature. My original artworks are the high-resolution JPG files of my paintings, found within the exclusive content linked to the corresponding Darkblock NFT.

The NFT serves as the title of ownership, the certificate of authenticity for the work, and the key to the secure vault, with Darkblock being that vault where the original artwork and personal usage license are stored.

For me, any other physical or digital representation of the artwork is considered a reproduction.

To purchase an original digital painting or NFT, you will need to follow these steps on the NFT Marketplace:

  1. Buy the NFT: Begin by purchasing the NFT. You will be redirected to the NFT marketplace platform, where you can securely complete the purchase using cryptocurrency.

  2. Digital Wallet: Make sure you have a compatible digital wallet to store your NFT.

  3. Ownership: After the transaction is confirmed, you will officially become the owner of the NFT. You can then access the Darkblock vault, where the original digital painting and a personal usage license are stored, ready for you to download.

Enjoy your artwork, and thank you for supporting my work!

When you unlock the exclusive content associated with your NFT, you will gain access to various additional elements that enrich your experience as an owner. Here is a description of the content included in the unlocking:

  1. Copyright-Embedded JPG File: You will have access to a JPG file of the digital artwork associated with your NFT. This file will include the mandatory attribution notice.

  2. Guide to File Usage and License: You will also receive a detailed guide to the terms of use for the file and the license associated with the artwork. This guide will provide you with valuable information about the rights granted to you as the NFT owner, as well as the usage restrictions to be observed.

  3. Timelapse of the Creative Process: In the exclusive content, you will find a captivating timelapse showcasing the creative process behind the artwork. This timelapse will allow you to discover the evolution of the artwork from its conception to its final realization.

  4. And many more surprises to come and discover… Access to this additional exclusive content enhances the immersive and unique experience associated with your NFT. You will be able to appreciate the digital artwork in its visual form and learn more about its creation process.

NFT transactions operate through blockchain technology. Here’s how you receive your NFT after purchase:

  1. Wallet Setup: Ensure you have a compatible digital wallet. This wallet is essential for receiving the NFT.

  2. Purchase on Marketplace: Start by buying the NFT on a marketplace. The transaction is recorded on the blockchain, confirming ownership.

  3. Transfer to Your Wallet: Once the purchase is complete, the NFT is automatically transferred to your digital wallet.

You can then access and manage your NFT through this wallet. Enjoy your NFT: Connect your wallet to the Darkblock application, where you can download and print a copy of your digital painting.

Remember that NFT ownership is verified on the blockchain, providing proof of authenticity.

Some artworks are available as open editions on Tezos. On a specified date, you can claim an edition for your wallet. Be sure to mark this date on your calendar. After the edition claiming date, you’ll need to make an offer to one of its fortunate owners.

Yes, I have a dedicated secondary marketplace : :https://isabellegouget.wlbl.xyz

Advantages:

  1. No fake collections: This ensures that you are buying or selling the NFT of an original artwork, not a counterfeit.
  2. No marketplace fees.
  3. All the artist’s works gathered in one place

NFT transactions are irreversible due to the nature of blockchain technology. Once a transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, it cannot be canceled or reversed.
Please make sure to double-check your choices before finalizing your purchase.

I can ship my physical artworks abroad without any problem. However, in some countries, import taxes may be applied, so it is important to check the regulations of your destination country before placing an order. For digital artworks, the files are delivered directly on the https://app.darkblock.io/ platform. You can purchase my artworks from anywhere in the world, as long as you have a digital wallet compatible with the Polygon blockchain to make your purchase using the Matic cryptocurrency. As these are NFTs, there are no shipping fees to expect.

Please note that if you purchase a physical artwork, it is not possible to cancel your order once the payment has been made and the artwork has been shipped. However, for digital artworks, once you have purchased an NFT, it is not possible to cancel it as blockchain transactions are final and irreversible. Therefore, please ensure that you carefully consider your decision before making a purchase. If you have any questions or doubts, please feel free to contact me before making your purchase.

Printing Guide for Isabelle GOUGET's Digital Paintings

In this guide, you will find essential information for choosing the ideal service provider and printing paper to fully appreciate my digital artworks. My artistic approach is based on experimentation, artistic reflection, emotional impact, and innovation.

Le monde à l'envers
Le monde à l'envers

You can print my digital paintings on various-sized media. The larger the print size, the further away you’ll need to stand to fully appreciate them. Impressionist techniques with color strokes are particularly suitable for viewing from a distance.

Common Formats The most common formats for my works are 2:3, 1:1, 1:3, 1:2, and 16:9. When choosing a printing format, make sure it matches the corresponding digital painting. This will ensure a faithful representation of my artistic work. If it’s not possible to find an exact matching print format, opt for the nearest one. When printing, be sure to include the entire image, leaving white borders that will be trimmed later. It’s crucial not to crop the image to fit the entire surface of the medium, as this would alter its composition and, consequently, my artistic work. By strictly adhering to the formats, you preserve the integrity of the artwork and the artistic experience it offers to viewers. Each format has been carefully chosen to highlight the composition and message of the work, so let’s keep them intact.

Artistic Themes and Styles I explore themes of nature and freedom through artistic styles such as Impressionism, the dreamlike, and Surrealism. Keep these elements in mind when choosing the display location and printing paper.

I recommend having my works printed by service providers accustomed to working with professional photographers. Their experience is crucial for ensuring optimal print quality, an essential element in faithfully rendering the artistic richness of my digital paintings. When choosing a provider, prefer one located near you. This eco-friendly approach reduces the carbon footprint associated with transporting the artwork while supporting local businesses. Ensure that the provider you select can reproduce the artistic quality of the original painting. Ask to see samples of their previous work. If you plan to make a large-format print, I recommend starting with small samples. This step will allow you to ensure that the final result meets your expectations before ordering a larger print. Taking the time to check the quality on a small scale will save you from disappointment on a larger scale. By following these recommendations, you can ensure that your prints fully reflect the artistic intent of my digital works. Every detail matters to preserve the quality and emotional impact of the art.

Paper Selection My art is best expressed on fine art matte paper. Among the tested papers, Hahnemühle’s Bamboo paper has yielded excellent results. Its matte finish preserves the quality of colors and textures in my works.
